This weeks question seems to be a good place to pick up from the 'same mistakes or new ones' discussion we had last week--

"Are you living a life of Action or Reaction?"

Good for you Joymarie! I wish I was as self sufficient as you are---I am bad about asking people for help--meaning probably too often, but I am also one to jump when anyone needs my help and i'm happy to do so--i'm hoping it all evens out in the end.

Hope your little one gets well soon! RSV seems to be the one thing that lingers on so dang long!

I think I live more a life of reaction, there are things I do because I feel obligated (my reaction to guilt maybe) I react when people tick me off, and my reaction is to rant and complain out loud, hard to explain kind of, but I am working on more action, doing what I want to do and still getting what needs to be done, done!

I have been putting off designing my wedding invitations! I feel like something that was going to bring me joy is becoming something on my "to do" list that I've been avoiding. The perfectionist in me is kicking into high gear, but I don't want it to take over! I want these initiations to be created from a place of joy and spontaneity ;) I want to take action but have been hung up in the non-active stage for weeks now. Perhaps if I just whip out my sketchbook and focus less on a finished product (and more on the process) I will make some headway!

Your totally right by jumping out the sketch book--you have to start somewhere. One thing I know that gets my creative juices flowing is by defining and writing down the feeling or emotion you want your finished project to have. Do you want it to be sweet and loving, playful and fun, timeless and classic? by answering those questions, the rest is just filling in the blanks! certain colors and elements will either fit into those categories or they won't.

Is Potato Leek Soup Crafty?

I hope so, because I was feeling pretty creative!  With summer well on its way, I’m getting into the fresh food groove and inspired to try some quick, simple recipes. The bright hues of the vegies reminded me of a garden party, which in turn made me remember I need to sew a few summer table [...]
