Okay Tech Chicas, let's get some chatter going.

I'm totally tech challenged and don't know much about what's going on out there in the tech world.

Share with us what's new and wonderful out there in the tech world. It can be anything from a new toy, a new program you love, an old program you love or just a website you frequent!

If you have questions about anything, this is the place to ask them.

I've been wanting to get into digital scrapbooking and do have Photoshop Elements 4 (I think it's 4 anyways) and have never tried to use it for scrapbooking. I've used it for other things, but never scrapbooking.

So give me tips on how to get started!! I've been reading about brushes and have no idea what they are or how to use them and please use language that I'll be able to understand since I am totally challenged and may have no idea what you're talking about!!! lol

Don't know if this is the place to go, but I need help. Talk about being tech challenged! Anyhow, I want to send a photo of a layout, but it is supposed to be only 500KB. Mine is over 4700KB. Any way to change it? I got the picture to where it is supposed to be-- 500x500 pix, so that's okay. Also, the dpi (whatever that is) is supposed to be 72 and mine is 96 or something. Am I making any sense?

I'm certainly no genius or do I pretend to know much of anything tech related. Unless I'm mistaken I think the dpi is dots per inch and that would have to do with the actual resolution of the picture or has something to do with the color. I'm not exactly sure how to change that though, so I am no help at all.

Usually when I can't figure something out I use search the web and and would put in change the dpi for a picture or what ever you need to know or what you want to fix. Most times it works for me. Just a suggestion and sorry I'm not much help!!

My daughter suggested I take a picture rather than scan it. I looked at some pictures on my email and the KB's weren't anywhere near as high. So, as soon as I can get my granddaughter up here with her camera, I'll try that.
Thanks for your info, though, and I will try the search.

I hope so, because I was feeling pretty creative!  With summer well on its way, I’m getting into the fresh food groove and inspired to try some quick, simple recipes. The bright hues of the vegies reminded me of a garden party, which in turn made me remember I need to sew a few summer table [...]
